VPN

A VPN is a private network that uses a public network (usually the Internet) to connect remote sites or users together. Instead of using a dedicated, physical connection such as leased line, a VPN uses "virtual" connections routed through the Internet from the company's private network to the remote site or employee.

There are two main types of VPNs: Site-to-Site VPNs and Mobile User VPNs (MUVPN). Ranger Computer uses Site-to-Site VPNs to provide our clients' branch offices with secure encrypted connections to the home office. Mobile User VPNs enable our clients and their remote employees to access network applications and files from home or the road.
